Beep, Beep, Be Thankful

Gratitude turns what we have into enough. –Anonymous

When a reckless car drives by you, it may take your breath away. The speedster, swayer, is putting many at risk. Your first emotion may be fear, which might turn to anger and then relief you and the other driver are safe.

When we are in a difficult circumstance, it provides the opportunity to be thankful as prayer warriors, rejoice in all things, and have a spirit of gratitude for what God is doing in our lives and the lives of others. Even speedsters. Our spirits grow as we realize the magnitude of our blessings. Our American Thanksgiving holiday reminds us of our great concern for others known through Jesus’ eternal love for us.

This week, take a lesson from the speedy driver and race to prayers of thanksgiving (and forgiveness for drivers who cut you off).

Heavenly Father,

Beep! Beep! It is me, a reckless driver myself at times, and I am thankful for the abundance in my life. You have given me family and friends who bless me with kind words and actions. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and grow me in a grateful heart. I pray for health and strength to carry on and live as you would have me to.  Proclaiming Your Greatness Forever. Amen

King David’s Song Of Thanksgiving

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness.

Let the whole world know what he has done.

Sing to him; yes, sing his praises.

Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.

Exult in his holy name; rejoice, you who worship the Lord.1 Chronicles 16:8–10
