Pearl Guard

“All art is autobiographical; the pearl is the oyster’s autobiography.” ― Federico Fellini, Italian filmaker

Natural pearls are scarce and precious. Hundreds of oysters or mussels must be gathered and opened to find one wild pearl. When lustrous and finely colored, they are valued as gems.

Like pearls, the gospel is precious. Many will try to trample any word of Jesus.

“..and do not throw your pearls before pigs, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.” Matthew 7:6

This teaching may seem heartless, but it protects the evangelist.

If your words about Jesus are not helping-Stop helping.

It is a waste of God’s resources. The person is not in a place to receive. You are only responsible for telling–not the receiving.

There is a rule if you are a lifeguard. Approach the person you are saving with your feet out.

🛟 I will save you, but you cannot drown me while I am doing it. 🛟

Prayer:

Lord, move through me to draw men and women to you. Let your light shine through me, leading them to you. Help me discern who to speak the hope of the gospel to and when to move on. May I be a lifesaver for You.  Amen
