The heart’s focus on God results in an outward lifestyle of modesty and unpretentiousness, dampening our hunger for luxury, glamour and comfort. 


“I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well-fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.” -Philippians 4:11,12 


The magnetic pull of wealth and worldly success draws one away from Christ. There is no limit to joy, even when worldly circumstances are personally upside down. 

By allowing God to be magnified instead of personal challenges permits God to become more precious to us. It demonstrates his power working in the events of life. God’s grace is intended to sustain in every area. Grace fills the emptiness. 

Being Without. It may bring more than you imagined. 

Prayer: 

Heavenly Father, 

You meet us in the small things. Our daily reliance on you creates channels of delight. Teach us to know being without things never means we are not without You. Amen
